The exposure everyone is missing (your customer in this case) saving this $500 is, this trash will likely crack short term and drive a higher overall cost to replace. This seems simple to me. You seem REALLY ready to call out the MSP mani. (for whatever reason) But, for me this comparison you have slapped up here is nothing more than a hack without all the facts. I think we all agree Mike got e_fed. So they will likely flow very simular to the MSP product. The real question is product composition. You seem to feel like you know something, or somebody. Come out of the closet baby.
